  • Assist with counting instruments, swabs, and sharps.
  • Complete designated theatre documentation.
  • Assist with the set‑up of a theatre suite.
  • Maintain a clean and usable department.
  • Complete e‑learning modules and training.
  • Report to Team Leaders for daily tasks.

As a Theatre Support Assistant, you will play an integral part of the patient’s peri‑operative journey by providing essential support in the theatres.

Responsibilities
  • Support the care of patients within the theatres.
  • Assist the inter‑professional team throughout the peri‑operative journey.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi‑professional team.
  • Use excellent communication skills to enhance care and efficiency.
  • Open sterile packs in accordance with Infection Prevention and Control procedures.
  • Assist with the counting of instruments, swabs and sharps.
  • Complete designated theatre documentation, both digital and paper formats.
  • Assist with the set‑up of a theatre suite.
  • Maintain a clean and usable department.
  • Complete e‑learning modules and regularly scheduled training.
  • Display a willingness to learn and grow.
  • Report to the Team Leaders to complete daily theatre‑oriented tasks.
About the Site

WHH holds a Sponsor Licence, allowing us to sponsor eligible applicants who meet Home Office requirements. The site is located on the Captain Sir Tom Moore Building (Halton Site), featuring 5 laminar flow theatres and 1 treatment room, supporting a wide range of orthopaedic and elective procedures within the Cheshire and Merseyside Integrated Care system.
