The District Nursing Service in East Lancashire is currently recruiting a Health Care Assistant to work in Rossendale and Hyndburn alongside Domiciliary Phlebotomists and District Nursing colleagues. Their main role will be to support with the blood sampling required for housebound patients living in their own homes and residential care homes with additional clinical skills being developed over time to meet the needs of the service. The Health Care Assistant will work as a member of the District Nurse Service and assist the qualified nursing staff in the delivery of health care to patients within a variety of settings. The post holder will be expected to be involved with phlebotomy.
Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle is essential.
