A local healthcare provider in Cambridgeshire is seeking a qualified Healthcare Assistant to join their Clinical Team. The role entails assisting with patient care duties, conducting health checks, and supporting the nursing team. Ideal candidates should possess an NVQ level 3 qualification and experience in a busy GP setting. We are afriendly patient focussed practice serving our local community. Our list sizeis approximately 9,500 patients. Our Practice team comprises of GPs, clinicaland nurse practitioners, practice nurses, health care assistants, a pharmacistteam, physiotherapists, care co-ordinator, social prescribers and mental healthsupport along with our reception, admin and dispensary teams.
We are looking to develop our patient services further and hope our new colleague can help us do this.
Working under the indirect supervision of the Nurse Team Lead and in accordance with specific practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will perform a wide range of clinical and administrative tasks to support our Practice team.
Assist medical/nursing colleagues in the care of practice patients to include treatment, preventative care, screening and patient education. The post will also include some administrative duties.
Job duties and responsibilities:
The role of the HCA is an essential part of our Practice team. You will be working alongside our friendly and patient focused clinical, admin and management teams providing an important support function and deliver the best care to our patients.
You must work with autonomy and a high degree of confidentiality, sensitivity, discretion, empathy and tact.

Job Summary:

Act as a focal point of communication between patients, doctors, nurses and other members of the primary health care team. To actively participate in health promotion for patients and their families.
