A medical facility in Brackley is looking for an enthusiastic Healthcare Assistant to join their team for 18 hours per week. Responsibilities include phlebotomy, wound care, and supporting GPs in various clinics. Candidates must be qualified in phlebotomy and have experience in primary care. We are looking for an enthusiastic HCA to join our friendly team for 18 hours per week (Monday 0800-1830 hrs, Thursday 1400-1830 hrs, and Friday 1400-1830 hrs).

Brackley Medical Centre are looking for an experienced Primary Care HCA to join our excellent Treatment Room Team. Working alongside our experienced team, we are looking for a motivated and skilled HCA who loves the challenge of working in general practice.
The role of the HCA is varied and fulfilling running phlebotomy, minor illness clinic, NHS health checks and more.
Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the HCA will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
Responsibilities
Simple and complex wound care
Insurance medicals & other related documentation
ECG recording
Supporting GP in Family Planning clinics
Blood Pressure Checks
Processing and management of laboratory samples requested by GPs/Nurses
Vaccine/cold chain storage, monitoring and recording
Surgical equipment and vaccine re-stocking and stock rotation
Clearing and re-stocking consulting rooms
Preparing and maintaining environments and equipment before, during and after patient care interventions including assisting GPs during the performance of minor surgery clinics
Assisting in the assessment and surveillance of patients health and well-being
Helping to raise awareness of health and well-being and how it can be promoted
Assisting with the collection and collation of data on needs related to health and well-being
The undertaking of administrative tasks where relevant to assist with practice audits and patient monitoring.

We are GP teaching practice with a dedicated team committed to treat minor ailments, as well as providing specialist management of long-term conditions and clinics covering a wide range of healthcare issues for Brackley and the surrounding area. We have 5 partners, 5 salaried GPs in addition to 13 staff in the Nursing Team and Urgent Care Unit for a 16000 patient population.
In addition we have a wide range of specialist roles such as First Contact Physios, Clinical Pharmacists, Social Prescribers and Mental Health Support worker, providing a diverse service to our patients.

Working under the direct supervision of the Nurse Manager and strictly in accordance with specific Practice guidelines and protocols, the Healthcare Assistant will assist the Practice clinical team in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
