A healthcare organization in the UK is seeking motivated individuals for the Acute Adult Division. The post holder will carry out a broad range of clinical duties, under the guidance of our registrants, including:
Establishing a professional rapport with your patients, their relatives and your colleagues.
Communicate effectively with your patients, their relatives and your colleagues.
Ensure privacy and dignity are maintained at all times.
Delivering personal care including assisting patients with their elimination needs.
Providing support to patients who require enhanced care.
To assist patients, where necessary by the use of appropriate aids/appliance, to achieve physical comfort. This will involve the safe moving and handling of patients to varying degrees dependant on their condition and care needs.
Serve meals and drinks to patients, and assist patients with their nutritional needs.
Bed making, correct disposal of linen and waste.
Provide information to enable the effectiveness of the care to be evaluated and accurate records maintained.
Contribute to patient safety.
Work collaboratively with your colleagues, to deliver high standards of patient care.
Work within the limitations of your own competence and scope of practice, seeking assistance when required.
Actively provide support and reassurance to patients and their relatives.
Act as an advocate for your patients.
Report and elevate any concern regarding patient care.
Ensure safekeeping of patient's property and valuables within Trust guidelines

Main duties of the job
Previous experience is advantageous but not essential. The Trust is committed to your development and will create a dedicated personal development plan for you, to make sure you are fully supported. We have a dedicated education team who are committed to guide and nurture you through your career. They will be on hand to support and guide you in completing the Care Certificate, to ensure you have the necessary knowledge and skills to undertake your new role. You will be assigned an assessor on the ward which you are based, who will support you as you embark upon your exciting journey at Bolton Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Whilst working alongside one our amazing teams, you will have the chance to develop and showcase these skills. Some of our HCAs have gone on to become Nursing Associates or Registered Nurses so the sky is the limit for you here in Bolton!
Our hospitals are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Our staff work on a shift basis to ensure our patients receive the very best care at all times.
You may be required to work across a number of wards and departments across the Division on a rotational basis so this is a great opportunity to develop your skills and experience in a number of different clinical areas.
