Job summary

Precious Community Care Ltd. is seeking a Health Care Assistant to provide respectful, person-centred support to clients in their own homes in Leicestershire. You will follow care plans, assist with daily activities and record information accurately using our care system.

A full UK driving licence and your own car are required for travel between visits. We welcome applicants with experience in home care or similar settings and an ability to communicate clearly in English.

Health Care Assistant – Domiciliary Care (Leicestershire)

About the role

As a Health Care Assistant, you will provide respectful, person-centred support to people in their own homes. You will help them with everyday activities, follow their care plans and communicate sensitively with them, their families and your colleagues.

Duties

Support people with personal care, mobility, meals and daily routines, respecting their choices, privacy and dignity.

Follow care plans, notice changes in people’s wellbeing and report them promptly to the office and your colleagues.

Keep clear, accurate care records using our electronic care system, following agreed procedures.

Travel between visits in your own vehicle.

Your attentive support will help people feel safer and more comfortable in their own homes, and give your colleagues the information they need to coordinate care.

Female applicants only. This role involves intimate personal care for female service users who have asked for a female carer, so this is a genuine occupational requirement under the Equality Act 2010 (Schedule 9).

A full UK driving licence and your own car to travel between visits.

Clear spoken and written English.

The ability to follow care plans, record information accurately and use basic IT for care documentation.

A patient, respectful approach to meeting people’s individual needs, and the ability to work well with colleagues.

Previous experience in home care or a similar care setting.
