Job description

Aureos is seeking a Health and Wellbeing Advisor to join our growing team. This role supports all aspects and delivery of the Health & Wellbeing programmes and align to the HSQEW strategy, supporting evidence-based practice.

We will consider candidates based anywhere within the UK, as this is a UK wide role with regular travel involved. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who is passionate about health and wellbeing with progression and career development.

Primary tasks and duties
  • Promotion of safe equipment, standards and method of working.
  • Showing the behaviours expected, providing challenge where required and not walking by, leading by example each and every time.
  • UK Travel for site visits to support HWB delivery.
  • Deliver Thrive health & wellbeing checks and Prostate Specific Antigen tests.
  • Ongoing promotion of health and wellbeing support avenues / initiatives.
  • Support delivery of workshops and toolbox talks.
  • Support TCUP 1 & 2 delivery (these are our inhouse training days for employees).
  • Support POPS manual handling delivery.
  • Carryout DSE Assessments.
  • Support and maintain HWB activity database.
  • Support, develop and maintain the HWB communications programme : HWB intranet page & HWB campaigns calendar.
  • Support the delivery of the health and wellbeing KPI’s against the strategy.
  • Collaborate, maintain and develop links with internal support teams including social values : sustainability, inclusion; learning & development, health & safety and communications.
  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with site teams, clients and other stakeholders
  • Actively continue HWB own personal development and keep competencies up to date.
  • Attend an annual GPS review with HWB Manager.
Secondary tasks and duties
  • Support the HWB Manager with day-to-day planning and scheduling of HWB programme.
  • Encourage use of HSQEW reporting systems and quality contributions.
  • Comply with all procedures and instruction contained within the Aureos’s Business Management System (BMS).
  • Support maintenance and improvement of ISO 45003.
  • To conduct yourself in a professional and polite manner at all times ensuring excellent customer service and the companies hard earned reputation are maintained.
  • Look after all equipment and other Aureos owned property including vehicles
Qualifications, Training and skills
Essential
  • Driving Licence
  • Ability to use IT systems including Microsoft 365, and HSQE specific systems.

Desirable
  • Mental Health First Aid trained.
  • Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (ASIST.)
  • Demonstrate relevant industry educational qualifications e.g NEBOSH.
  • Background knowledge in physiology, psychology, healthcare, sports science or health & safety or similar.
  • Experience of workplace health and wellbeing
  • Experience in delivering a personal health check including measurement of finger prick cholesterol and glucose testing; BP; body composition using BIA; weight; height; waist; grip strength dynamometer : a risk CVD risk calculation software.
  • Experience in motivational interviewing for personal health checks and behaviour change techniques including brief interventions
  • Working knowledge of safeguarding / previous training in safeguarding
  • Workplace health and wellbeing programmes and health promotion
  • Data entry and use of web enabled database systems
  • Passion for health, fitness, wellbeing related interest and experience
