About the Role:

Prospero Teaching is seeking a dedicated and passionate Health & Social Care Teacher to join a secondary school in the Liverpool area in January 2026. As one of the fastest growing agencies in the UK, we are looking for a reliable, enthusiastic educator.

Health & Social Care Teacher

Location: Liverpool, L5

Start Date: January 2026

Contract Type: Temporary, Long Term

Working Hours: Full time, 8:00am - 4.00pm

Salary: Paid to scale

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan schemes of work and lesson materials that align with curriculum requirements and professional standards
  • Assess student progress through assignments, exams, and practical tasks, ensuring feedback is constructive and timely
  • Adapt teaching methods to meet diverse learning needs and abilities
  • Develop and update curriculum content to reflect current practices in health and social care
Requirements:
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Proven experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
  • Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential as training can be provided).
  • Right to Work in the UK.
  • Enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service, or willingness to apply for a new one.
  • Ability to provide two professional references.
