Job summary

Irwin and Colton is seeking an experienced Health and Safety Trainer (Freelance) to lead the delivery of safety training to a diverse client base in Cumbria. The role offers hybrid work with some office visits and a day rate of £400, providing flexible engagement on an ongoing contract.

You will deliver IOSH courses and advanced safety training, develop engaging sessions, and support clients in meeting their safety objectives with practical guidance.

Qualifications

• A Level 3 Train the Trainer or equivalent teaching qualification.
• Strong Health and Safety background with experience delivering professional training, ideally including IOSH courses.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and influence at all levels.
• Hands-on approach and a genuine passion for improving safety performance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver IOSH Working Safely and Managing Safely courses, alongside Level 3 Health and Safety and fire safety training.
• Developing and delivering engaging, practical training sessions through both virtual and face to face.
• Supporting clients with their wider Health and Safety training requirements and providing practical advice where required.
• Building strong client relationships and adapting training delivery to suit different audiences and learning needs.
