A prominent healthcare provider in Bath is seeking a Head of Health and Safety to provide expert advice and strategic leadership on health and safety matters. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH Diploma and relevant experience in a healthcare setting. The Head of Health and Safety will act as the competent person to provide advice on Health and Safety matters to the Trust, providing expert Health and Safety advice across the organisation and strategic leadership and direction for the management of Health and Safety at RUH. The post holder must hold a NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Occupational Health and Safety and have experience as a safety professional with knowledge of working within a healthcare environment. The Health and Safety Manager is required to interpret relevant legislation and guidance in order to support the development and implementation of Trust wide policies and procedures on behalf of the Divisional Directors, Executive Directors and the Trust Board. They will be responsible for demonstrating that the Trust is compliant with health and safety legislation and standards through programs of risk assessment and auditing, whilst ensuring the monitoring of Health and Safety performance. Providing appropriate expertise to deliver professional and reliable advice at strategic and operational levels.
