About Our Client

This opportunity is with a well-established FMCG organisation based in Lancashire. The company has a wide customer base both online and within various retailers and are committed to delivering high‑quality products and ensuring a positive customer experience.

Job Description

The Health and Safety Manager reports directly to the Operations Director and will be responsible for Health and Safety across the site including both manufacturing and warehousing departments.

  • Develop and implement health and safety policies and procedures in line with legal requirements and industry standards
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential hazards
  • Identify development opportunities and deliver health and safety training to employees and management teams
  • Work cross‑functionally to develop, implement and maintain robust health and safety systems that integrate with the site’s QMS
  • Monitor and review health and safety performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management
  • Ensure compliance to all legislations including COSHH, PUWER and RIDDOR
  • Uphold APHA standards related to biosecurity, contamination control, and traceability of material
  • Investigate incidents and accidents, ensuring appropriate corrective actions are taken
  • Act as the primary point of contact for regulatory bodies and external auditors regarding health and safety matters

A successful Health & Safety Manager should have:
