About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and proactive Health and Safety Manager to join our growing construction team. You will take the lead in developing, implementing, and monitoring health and safety policies and procedures to maintain the highest standards of workplace safety across all sites.

This is a key position requiring excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and the ability to promote a positive safety culture throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement comprehensive health and safety programmes in line with current legislation.
  • Conduct regular site audits and inspections to identify risks and ensure compliance with company and legal standards.
  • Lead accident and incident investigations, carrying out detailed root cause analyses and recommending preventative measures.
  • Deliver health and safety training and toolbox talks, including first aid and emergency response.
  • Maintain accurate records of training, inspections, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare clear and concise reports on safety performance and compliance.
  • Advise and support management teams to embed safety best practices across all operations.
  • Stay informed on new regulations and industry developments to ensure continuous improvement.
Skills & Qualifications
  • Proven experience as a Health and Safety Manager or similar role (construction or industrial environment preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • NEBOSH qualification (Diploma or equivalent) essential.
  • Excellent written communication and report‑writing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities, including experience with root cause analysis.
  • Certified First Aider (advantageous).Bachelor's degree in a relevant field preferred.
  • Confident working independently and collaboratively within a team.
