Overview

I am seeking a Health and Safety Manager on behalf of leading M&E contractor. As a company it generates an annual turnover of more than £200 million and specialises in across a diverse range of construction markets including high end, mid-level residential, commercial fitouts, data centre delivery, offsite modular engineering and the growing life science sectors.

They are seeking a Health and Safety Manager to be based on a high profile Data Centre in Saunderton with work till July 2027. This is an exciting long term contract opportunity playing a key role in ensuring compliance and promoting a strong safety culture a standout projects.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • HSQE Project and documentation support including Preliminary and Construction Stage Safety and Health Plans
  • Maintain compliance with current Environmental, Health and Safety legislation and maintain awareness of legislative changes and industry standards.
  • Obtaining and reviewing safety documentation from Clients, Suppliers and Subcontractors
  • Carrying out Site Inspections and produce reports.
  • Assist the site team in the preparation of Method Statements, Risk Assessments and associated documentation and records.
  • Prepare and carry out site toolbox talks.
  • Daily/weekly reporting to the business, project management staff and client
  • Conduct incident/accident investigations and prepare reports for internal/external purposes.
  • Provide HSQE advice and direction to staff and contractors, liaising with Site Personnel
  • Compilation of Safety Files and O&M Manuals.
Essential Job Requirements
  • Hold a recognised HSQE qualification of a minimum NEBOSH National Certificate in Construction or IOSH.
  • Minimum of 3 years HSQE experience in the construction industry
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and spoken.
  • Excellent planning, organisational, training, teamwork, problem resolution and presentation skills.
  • Be commutable to Saunderton
