Job Title: Building Health & Safety Manager
Salary: 50,369 per annum
Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Friday)
Location: Maidstone (Hybrid Working)

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full–time Building Health & Safety Manager to join the Police.

This pivotal role will lead and support the force's health and safety strategy, ensuring the safety and compliance of 12 key buildings across Kent.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead health and safety compliance across all construction and building–related projects.
  • Provide expert guidance on the application of CDM Regulations 2015.
  • Conduct thorough risk assessments, incident investigations, and safety audits.
  • Deliver engaging health and safety training to staff at all levels.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies to ensure adherence to best practices.
  • Support project delivery with a focus on safety, quality, and timely execution.
Essential Criteria
  • Degree or HNC/HND in a relevant discipline.
  • NEBOSH Diploma (or equivalent qualification).
  • Membership of IOSH or a similar professional body.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and its practical application.
  • Proven experience in construction or civil engineering safety.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across Kent and work flexibly.
Desirable Criteria
  • Experience delivering projects within strict deadlines.
  • Strong customer relationship and networking capabilities.
  • Experience working within small, collaborative teams.
