TSSI is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to lead health and safety across sites and projects, working closely with the Senior HSQE Advisor and the Quality and Compliance Manager. You will be the person the workforce knows and trusts, and the board relies on for clear updates.

You will be based in London or Hertfordshire with regular site travel. The role is hybrid, mostly office based to start, with a negotiable salary plus pension, private healthcare and travel support.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate required.
• Site-based health and safety experience in M&E, building services or construction.
• Confident on site with ability to explain risk to senior leaders.
• Good IT skills and computer literacy.

Responsabilités

• Keep risk assessments and method statements current for every type of work.
• Lead incident and near-miss investigations and close-out.
• Run weekly near-miss and close-call meetings.
• Plan and carry out site inspections with the Senior HSQE Advisor.
• Support workforce competence management and safety input to bids.
• Contribute to ISO 45001 management system and quarterly HSQE forum.

About the role

You will lead health and safety across sites and projects, working closely with a Senior HSQE Advisor and a Quality and Compliance Manager. You will be the person the workforce knows and trusts, and the person the board relies on for clear updates.

What you will do

• Keep risk assessments and method statements current for every type of work
• Lead incident and close call investigations
• Run the weekly near miss and close call meeting
• Plan and carry out site inspections with the Senior HSQE Advisor
• Manage drug and alcohol testing and fitness for work, including a confidential medication log
• Support workforce competence management
• Give health and safety input to bids in new sectors
• Support the ISO 45001 management system
• Co-present the quarterly HSQE forum to the whole business

What you will bring

Essential

• NEBOSH Construction Certificate
• Site based health and safety experience in M&E, building services or construction

Desirable

• NEBOSH Diploma
• Experience in airports, highways, high voltage, hospitals or energy sites
