This position involves managing Health and Safety risks across construction projects and requires a NEBOSH General Certificate. Health and Safety Manager

Milton Keynes (Hybrid working)
Salary: Up to £52,974 + Excellent Pension

Irwin and Colton are delighted to be partnering with a leading service provider, within the Government, to recruit a new Health and Safety Manager. The organisation's services provide support on the development, policy, and defence to both the UK and global partners, and this role will work closely with the Head of Health and Safety to deliver on projects, ensuring processes and policies are in place.

Responsibilities
  • Supporting Health and Safety risk management to ensure an accurate understanding of the Health and Safety risk profile, especially across both major and minor construction projects.
  • Supporting the operational Health and Safety function to ensure that effective and efficient procedures are in place to identify, measure and report on Health and Safety related risks, such as on CDM.
  • Ensuring that the communication of Health and Safety risks are delivered to the key stakeholders.
  • Elevating the Health and Safety management culture across the organisation, so that it becomes a key component of the overall ethos.
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (with relevant qualifications) is mandatory.
  • Experience in working within a health and safety function and team; ideally within the public sector or wider property (with CDM / construction experience).
  • Multisite experience is ideal.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience influencing and engaging with a wide range of senior stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of the Health and Safety regulatory framework.

This role will require full security clearance during the on-boarding process.
