You will engage with teams to enhance safety culture and drive improvement initiatives. Ideal candidates will possess a NEBOSH General Certificate, experience in FMCG or manufacturing, and a strong knowledge of risk management. Qualifications

With ambitious growth plans across the UK and Europe, they are now seeking a proactive and approachable HSE Manager to lead Health & Safety across their modern manufacturing and distribution facilities in Worksop.

Health and Safety Manager Leading Food Manufacturer

Location: Worksop, Nottinghamshire
Salary: GBP55,000 GBP65,000 + excellent benefits
Working Pattern: Monday Friday, on–site (flexible hours)
Travel: Minimal (occasional European site visit, approx. once every six months)

The Opportunity

This role offers the chance to shape and elevate a positive, proactive safety culture. You ll be the visible HSE lead on–site, engaging with teams on the shop floor and partnering with senior management to drive best practice. You ll report directly to the Group Health and Safety Manager, with a dotted line to the Head of Compliance, and will play a key role in the company s journey toward proactive and behavioural–based safety excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead HSE strategy and continuous improvement across manufacturing and distribution operations.
  • Conduct regular safety walks, briefings, and audits.
  • Review and enhance risk assessments, PPE processes, and safe systems of work.
  • Support leadership teams to embed behavioural safety practices.
  • Analyse incidents and trends to identify and implement corrective actions.
  • Champion a strong, positive safety culture that empowers all employees.
About You

You ll be a confident communicator and practical safety leader who enjoys working in fast–paced, people–focused environments.

You should have:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, distribution or warehousing (food industry experience advantageous).
  • Strong knowledge of risk management, ergonomics, and manual handling.
  • A proactive, organised approach with the ability to prioritise multiple projects.
  • The drive to influence culture and foster continuous improvement.
