Qualifications

  • Experience as a Health and Safety Manager in the construction industry is essential.
  • Must be IOSH certified and working towards CMIOSH.
  • CSCS Registered Manager's card Gold – Black required.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in tendering H&S and prequalification information.
  • Produce CPHSP and assist in generating RAMS.
  • Conduct weekly audits on live projects and prepare reports.
  • Ensure compliance with H&S legislation and manage site managers.

Health and Safety Manager

Location: Bristol

Salary: Circa £50k - £60k depending upon experience

Overview

A main contractor specialising in fitout and refurbs is now looking for a Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

Role Details
  • 2-3 days per week based at headquarters and visiting sites in central London.
  • Assist in tendering H&S and prequalification information.
  • Produce CPHSP.
  • Assist in producing RAMS for sites and various site tasks.
  • Conduct weekly audits on live projects.
  • Prepare weekly reports for Directors.
  • Assist with managing H&S of workforce on site.
  • Manage H&S at HQ and produce necessary RA Fire Plans.
  • Ensure compliance with legislation relating to H&S.
  • Manage and liaise with site managers to develop proactive methods for site work.
  • Review H&S paperwork and hold points prior to work commencing.
  • Coordinate temporary works on projects, managing process and systems of work, including hold points.
  • Maintain training matrix and training plan updates.Produce fire plans – RA for sites.
  • Assist Directors as required.
Qualifications
  • Must come from construction industry as a Health and Safety Manager.
  • IOSH Member and working towards CMIOSH.
  • Ideally hold a NEBOSH Construction Certificate or equivalent.
  • CSCS Registered Manager's card Gold – Black.
