  • Support site teams in developing and delivering the HSE elements of site operational plans.
  • Review incident records to ensure compliance with Sodexo and client reporting requirements.
  • Oversee the Level 1 management monitoring programme within Sodexo's Site Management System (SMS), ensuring inspections are completed by appropriate personnel, on time, and that actions are closed within agreed deadlines.
  • Promote and support effective safety walks, including joining department managers, clients, and third parties, and sharing findings across the site.
  • Work with operational teams to build and maintain a library of safety moments and quick‑share communications.
  • Respond to health and safety queries from operational teams directly or by seeking guidance from the UK & Ireland HSE Manager.
  • Support the UK & Ireland HSE Manager in identifying opportunities to automate or simplify HSE systems.
  • Actively support the development of a zero‑harm mindset across site teams.
  • Work with the UK & Ireland HSE Manager to identify emerging risks and support improvement plans as directed.
  • Assist in preparation for client and external audits as required.
  • Ensure site safety performance is visible to relevant stakeholders.

  • Strong desire to learn and develop knowledge of UK health and safety regulations and industry standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence employees at all levels.
  • Strong analytical skills to assess risks, investigate incidents, and propose effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in using safety management systems and digital tools.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively.
