Scotland – Dumfries / Galashiels / Surrounding areas, Permanent, £40,000 to £48,000 per annum + £5,000 car allowance and benefits.

Overview

Shirley Parsons has partnered with an established consultancy who has an opening for a Health and Safety Consultant. The postholder will be responsible for covering client sites in South Scotland and surrounding areas, delivering Health and Safety services to mainly SME businesses. This opportunity is home‑based and will suit candidates residing in South Scotland, with the ability to commit to regional travel to client sites.

Responsibilities
  • Delivering Health and Safety services to clients including Risk Assessments, Fire Risk Assessments, auditing, reporting, and training.
  • Act as the “Competent Person” on behalf of the company for your client portfolio.
  • Ensure all client matters are progressed smoothly and respond to telephone and email queries in a timely fashion.
  • Generate and communicate ideas for improvement in service to clients to the Regional Manager.
Qualifications
  • Health and Safety and Fire Risk Assessment experience in Consultancy or multiple sectors.
  • Ideally have a diploma or degree level Health and Safety qualification.
  • Membership with the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH).
  • Strong verbal communication skills with the ability to build excellent working relationships.
