A family-run care organization in the UK is seeking a Health & Safety professional to support construction and operational compliance across sites. The role involves conducting audits, producing risk assessments, and ensuring safety across care homes and construction projects. Ideal candidates have relevant qualifications and a proactive approach to health and safety management. This full-time position offers a competitive salary starting at £38,000.
Based at our Support Office in Hemel Hempstead, the successful candidate will work across both construction and operational areas of the business, supporting our Health & Safety Manager / Fire Officer and the wider Build and Facilities team. The role involves regular travel to our care homes and active construction and refurbishment sites, ensuring high standards of safety and compliance across all phases of our projects. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, autonomy, and hands‑on work.
You’ll be flexible, proactive, and comfortable managing a varied workload across multiple sites. You’ll have strong communication skills, the ability to work independently and as part of a team, and a willingness to be hands‑on when needed. An understanding of dementia would be beneficial, and training will be provided for you.
