Job summary

ASEE Group is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor for a Europe-wide project, covering Italy, Belgium and the Netherlands. The role involves developing, implementing and improving health, safety and environmental management systems across engineering, installation and project sites, with regular travel to locations across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Implement health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key legislative changes.
• Engage with staff and contractors on health and safety performance and support achievement of objectives.
• Conduct audits, inspections, and accident investigations; identify and drive improvements.
• Act as main point of contact with client and external stakeholders.

Reports to: EHS Area Lead

We are recruiting a Health and Safety Advisor for a project in Italy, Belgium and Netherlands to support the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the company's health, safety, and environmental management systems. The role involves providing practical health and safety guidance across engineering, installation, and project sites, including regular travel to project locations throughout Europe to ensure compliance with company standards and relevant legislation.

The successful candidate will promote a positive safety culture, assist in managing risk, and ensure that all employees, contractors, and visitors work in a safe and compliant manner.

Applicants must have full right to work in the EU and freedom to travel across Europe for work without restriction or visa requirements.

Key Accountabilities/Tasks:

• Implementing health and safety policies and procedures on site, ensuring compliance and keeping updated with key changes to legislation.
• Engaging with staff and contractors on health and safety performance on a day to day basis and supporting the delivery of objectives and targets.
• Conducting audits, inspections, and accident investigations. Constantly seeking areas for improvement and development in health and safety performance.
• Engaging with the client and other external stakeholders, acting as key point of contact.

Essential attributes/Skills/Qualifications:

• 3+ years proven experience in a similar role ideally within engineering or construction setting.
• A NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent.
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
• A strong technical knowledge across relevant health and safety legislation, compliance and regulations.
• Must already have unrestricted legal authorisation to work in the relevant EU project country. The role cannot be offered where a visa, work permit or employer sponsorship is required, either now or in the future. Valid evidence of right to work will be required.
• Competitive salary, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
• 17 days on / 4 days off rotation, including flights.
