Job summary

A leading safety management firm is seeking a Health and Safety Advisor in Wrexham to support the implementation of health and safety management systems. Key responsibilities include conducting audits, leading risk assessments, and promoting a safety culture. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH National General Certificate and a solid understanding of UK legislation. Health and Safety Advisor

Role Overview

The client is seeking a proactive and knowledgeable Health & Safety Advisor to support the implementation and continuous improvement of our health and safety management system in alignment with their policies and standards. This role is pivotal in fostering a safe working environment and promoting a positive safety culture across the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and maintain the health and safety management system, ensuring compliance with the client's standards.
  • Coordinate and conduct internal audits and inspections to monitor site safety performance.
  • Lead comprehensive risk assessments to identify hazards and implement effective control measures.
  • Develop and drive risk reduction improvement plans.
  • Actively promote safe behaviours and lead by example to influence a strong safety culture.
Requirements
  • NEBOSH National General Certificate (required); working towards NEBOSH Diploma (preferred).
  • Solid understanding of UK health and safety legislation and best practices.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
