If you believe safety is more than a checklist—it's a culture—this is your chance to make a real impact on a landmark infrastructure project shaping the future of sustainable water supply.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Be the on‑site go‑to for all health, safety and environment matters.
  • Carry out inspections, audits and safety tours to keep everyone safe and compliant.
  • Support site teams with RAMS, Construction Phase Plans and other key documentation.
  • Ensure everything on site aligns with CDM Regulations 2015, company procedures and industry best practice.
  • Lead investigations when incidents or near‑misses occur—finding the root cause and learning from it.
  • Run engaging inductions, toolbox talks and safety briefings that people actually listen to.
  • Build strong relationships with client HSEQ teams, local regulators and your site crew.
  • Champion wellbeing, sustainability and continuous improvement—good safety is good business.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Health & Safety Advisor on civil engineering, infrastructure or utilities projects.
  • Ideally some exposure to water or desalination works, though a solid civil background is just as valuable.
  • A working knowledge of UK safety legislation, CDM Regulations and practical site‑based risk management.
  • A person who is approachable, confident and able to influence teams from the ground up.
Your Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Construction or General Certificate (essential).
  • Tech IOSH or working towards membership (desirable).
  • CSCS (Managers/Professionals) card.
  • First Aid, Fire Marshal or Environmental qualifications are a bonus.
  • Full UK driving licence and flexibility to work across the Leiston area.
What’s In It For You
  • Be part of a flagship desalination project supporting sustainable water infrastructure in East Anglia.
  • Work with a high‑performing team that values innovation, collaboration and real results.
  • Competitive pay, great benefits and opportunities for ongoing professional growth and IOSH/NEBOSH development.
