Health and Safety Advisor

Location: Guildford, Surrey

Salary: £35k - £40k

We are currently looking for a knowledgeable and driven Health and Safety Advisor to join our clients team. This role is crucial in supporting compliance across their operations, with a strong emphasis on PUWER, LOLER, and ISO standards including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.

Health and Safety Advisor - Key Responsibilities
  • Provide competent and practical advice on all health and safety matters, ensuring compliance with PUWER and LOLER regulations.
  • Support the development and ongoing management of integrated management systems aligned with ISO 9001 (Quality), ISO 14001 (Environmental), and ISO 45001 (Health & Safety).
  • Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments across various the company.
  • Lead on incident investigations, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture throughout the business.
  • Deliver training and awareness sessions to operational teams.
  • Liaise with external auditors, regulatory bodies, and internal stakeholders.
Health and Safety Advisor - Requirements
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) - essential.
  • Solid experience and practical understanding of PUWER and LOLER regulations.
  • Proven experience with one or more of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems.
  • Strong auditing, reporting, and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to influence change and drive safety improvements.
