Job description

A large, highly respected manufacturing organisation based near Dagenham is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Specialist to join their established team. This is an excellent opportunity to play a key role within a well–invested, safety–focused manufacturing environment where best practice and continuous improvement are genuinely encouraged.

The successful candidate will bring strong hands–on Health & Safety experience from a manufacturing background and will be based within a commutable distance of Dagenham / Romford and the surrounding areas.

The Role

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for supporting and driving Health & Safety standards across the manufacturing site, ensuring full compliance with current legislation and internal policies.

Key responsibilities include:

• Supporting the development, implementation and continuous improvement of Health & Safety procedures
• Conducting risk assessments, audits, inspections and investigations
• Ensuring compliance with UK H&S legislation and manufacturing best practice
• Delivering toolbox talks and supporting safety training initiatives
• Advising managers and operational teams on Health & Safety matters
• Promoting a strong safety culture across the site

About You

• Proven Health & Safety experience within a manufacturing environment
• Strong working knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent) highly desirable
• Confident communicator with the ability to influence at all levels
• Proactive, detail–focused and committed to continuous improvement
• Able to commute easily to Dagenham / Romford
