Health Safety and Environmental Advisor

With the continued growth and a critical focus to health and safety there is a need to increase the already successful HS&E team.

Location: M65 Corridor

Position: Health, Safety and Environmental Advisor

Package: Negotiable

Duties
  • The SHE Advisor will play a key role in supporting the continuous improvement of Safety, Health, and Environmental performance across the site.
  • Support the reduction of SHE risks and hazards across the site.
  • Help the site achieve and maintain full legal compliance.
  • Deliver engaging and effective health & safety training and toolbox talks.
  • Conduct workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
  • Investigate incidents, identify root causes, and implement corrective actions (RCA).
  • Provide practical, solutions-focused SHE advice and support to all departments.
  • Manage and audit contractors, visitors, and permit-to-work systems.
  • Support group SHE initiatives, campaigns, and compliance audits.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure robust document control.
  • Liaise with enforcement authorities and external stakeholders as required.
Requirements
  • Minimum Level 3 Health & Safety qualification (NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent).
  • Environmental qualification (IEMA or equivalent).
  • At least 5 years' experience in a similar role within manufacturing or FMCG.
  • Strong knowledge of BS ISO 45001 and environmental management systems.
  • A collaborative, people-focused approach with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Confident in conducting audits, investigations, and delivering training.
