Health and Safety Advisor
Location: Cumbria (Hybrid / Regional travel)
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 + Benefits

Responsibilities

• Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments, identifying hazards and recommending proportionate solutions.
• Developing, reviewing, and implementing health and safety policies, procedures, and management systems for client sites.
• Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and tailored training sessions to client teams.
• Providing clear, practical advice to managers and employees, promoting a positive safety culture.
• Liaising with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies to ensure legislative compliance.

Qualifications

• NEBOSH Certificate (or equivalent qualification such as IOSH or NVQ in Health & Safety).
• Experience within a consultancy or client‑facing health and safety role, or from a related technical environment such as construction, manufacturing, or engineering.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to engage and influence at all levels.
• A practical, hands‑on approach and a genuine passion for improving safety performance.
