Salary: £17,826.92 per annum for 28 hours per week
FTE Salary: £23,557 per annum

The role:

BH Live is recruiting for a part time Health and Fitness Advisors to join our busy team at BH Live Active – Stokewood.

Set in the heart of the Winton/Charminster area of Bournemouth, Stokewood opened as a public bath in 1930. Today, it is a thriving community leisure centre with circa 300,000 attendances a year.

There is a well‑equipped gym which is split over two levels with lift access. The group exercises class timetable is extensive with more than 70 classes each week spanning from HIIT to spin to yoga.

You will:
  • Be responsible for the day‑to‑day operation of the gym and ensure the provision of a first‑class facility.
  • Instruct and provide advice to our customers on safe usage.
  • Design, implement and promote gym floor classes, workouts, gym challenges, events and further services.
  • Provide fitness advice and training programs for customers.
  • Promote and provide a positive experience to all users of the centre.
  • Be willing to assist at other sites and departments if needed.
To be successful you will need:
  • A genuine passion for providing outstanding customer service.
  • A Level 2 Gym Instructor Qualification is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • To be a positive team player.
  • Ideally, you will also have previous experience of working within the leisure industry.
  • A Level 3 Gym Instructor Qualification is highly desirable.
