Qualifications

• A degree in a relevant subject.
• A Post Graduate Certificate in Primary Education.
• Full Registration with the General Teaching Council (of Scotland) or an assurance from GTC that full registration would be forthcoming.
• A qualification in education leadership, such as Into Headship or equivalent or a commitment to achieve this within the required timescale

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction of the school, ensuring high quality learning, teaching, assessment and raise attainment for all learners.
• Uphold the values and strategic priorities of Scottish Borders Council policies and deliver continuous improvement in line with national and local priorities.
