An established industry player in education is seeking a passionate Headteacher to lead Tor View School. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of students with autism and learning difficulties in a nurturing environment. The school, rated 'Good' and 'Outstanding' by Ofsted, prioritizes personalized education and holistic development. Here at Aspris, we are proud to be a leading provider of specialist education services with over 30 schools nationwide. We are recruiting for a Headteacher to join us at Tor View School. Working with the close support of our Regional Director, we are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic, and talented Headteacher; someone with the commitment and strategic vision to build a school that can achieve the very best for our young people.
Tor View School is a very special school that enables young people with autism, trauma-related interruptions, communication needs, and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a supportive environment in the heart of Devon. With typical class sizes of 4, we provide the care, attention, time, and dedication needed to help all students access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations.
We have been rated as ‘Good’ overall and ‘Outstanding’ in the categories of ‘Behaviour and attitudes’, ‘Personal development’, and ‘Leadership and management’ by Ofsted.
In the recent Ofsted report, inspectors stated: ‘Pupils shine at this happy and effective school. They feel valued and safe because staff understand their needs and how to meet them. Staff promote positive relationships very effectively. They secure a holistic view of pupils’ needs and challenges. This helps ensure that pupils benefit from tailored, personalised programmes of study.’
As part of Aspris Children’s Services, we are proud of the career pathways and training opportunities we offer. We ask that you demonstrate the values, transferable skills, and life experience relevant to this role. In return, we will provide all the training and support needed for your professional development.
We are offering a relocation package to suitable candidates outside the immediate region.
