White Cliffs Vets in Kent near Dover is seeking a Head Veterinary Nurse to lead a team of six RVNs and oversee daily practice operations. The role focuses on senior clinical leadership, nursing standards, governance and quality improvement within a supportive environment.

The position offers a full-time pattern, with 4x10-hour shifts, occasional Saturday work, and no out-of-hours duties, plus a comprehensive benefits package. Salary up to £35,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS.
• Significant experience in clinical practice with advanced nursing skills.
• Proven leadership and mentoring of nursing teams.
• Strong governance and quality improvement understanding.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Assisting vets in consults and surgeries
• Organising rotas for support and nursing teams
• Managing all aspects of the nursing team including general admin, performance management and absences

• Offering support to the team when practice manager is not on site
