Job summary

Mead Vet Centre is seeking a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our day team, drive excellence in patient care and support ongoing professional development. You’ll work within a busy, varied caseload including orthopaedics, complex medical cases, and surgery, with emphasis on leadership and collaborative practice.

We offer a competitive salary up to £43,000 DOE, four-day week with 10-hour shifts, on-call weekends, and progression opportunities within a state-of-the-art facility.

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Head Registered Veterinary Nurse who values patient care and progression to join our team. Here at Mead Vet Centre, we have a really exciting and varied caseload where you’ll be fully involved in cases including Orthopaedics, TPLOs, Fracture Repairs, Complex Medical Cases, Laparoscopic Spays, and much, much more, giving you the opportunity to work within your own areas of interest – whether you are an all rounder and enjoy all areas of nursing, or maybe surgery, wards, anaesthesia, or intensive care is your thing, we are happy to foster your interests and help you become the Head RVN you strive to be.

As a Head RVN, you’ll play an integral part of our dedicated day team, providing compassionate care and support to patients in need. We are looking for someone with strong clinical skills and the ability to handle emergency situations with confidence. You must have excellent communication skills and team working abilities and have a compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care.
