Head Veterinary Nurse - Homefield Road Veterinary Surgery, Haverhill

Salary: Up to £35,000 DOE

Hours: Up to 40 hours per week over 4 days | 1 in 5 Saturday mornings (8:30am-2pm)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Head Veterinary Nurse to lead our dedicated team and help shape the future of our friendly, small animal practice.

Our team works collaboratively across both branches, supporting one another to deliver outstanding clinical care in a positive, team‑focused environment.

About You

Qualified Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) with solid clinical experience, passionate about teamwork, patient care, and developing others, organised, proactive, and confident in leading people and processes & keen to contribute ideas and make a real difference.

We are a purpose‑built small animal clinic that consists of a radiography suite, two surgical theatres, separate kennels, and cattery and three consultation rooms. We have equipment such as dental xray, ultrasound and endoscopy. Outside of work our team enjoys taking part in charity walking events, as part of team building, we hold an annual summer party for all the team and their families.

We have an experienced team of Vets and Nurses. We have 3 Senior Vets, 1 new grad Vet, 1 Vet Surgeon split over 2 sites. Our nursing team consists of 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses over two sites, as well as Veterinary Care Assistants and a dedicated Reception team.
