Qualifications

  • Registered with RCVS as a Veterinary Nurse.

Our Branch Partner led, well-established Derby practice has a wonderful team and a loyal client base. The role is full-time at 40 hours per week, but we’re very open to discussing reduced hours if that’s better for you.

You’ll be joining a supportive, close-knit team who genuinely enjoy working together and are committed to providing outstanding care – while maintaining a balanced and positive working environment.

Role Accountabilities

  • Consistently deliver exceptional care to your clients.
  • Support with surgeries and procedures, completing all pre and post procedure activity.
  • Carry out nurse‑led appointments and schedule 3 activities.
  • Deliver patient monitoring and care.
  • Manage admissions and discharges as directed by the Veterinary team.
  • Complete patient transfers to out of hours or enhanced care.
  • Dispense and check medication.
  • Deliver professional excellence, complying with all regulatory, practice and operational standards.
  • Hold briefings to engage and co‑ordinate your team to support the most effective running of the practice.
Your Skills and Experience
  • RCVS registered Veterinary Nurse.
  • Experience of delivering exceptional patient and client care.
  • Experienced in working effectively as part of a team.
  • Experience of supporting Nurse consults, with an understanding of how this contributes to practice performance and efficiency.
  • Experienced in using coaching and influencing skills to get the best out of every colleague.
