One of our partnership academy groups is seeking an exceptional and dedicated Headteacher to provide effective day-to-day leadership and management for one of their small schools (maximum 12 pupils). You'll be a proactive contributor to their excellent leadership team, embodying their vision, ethos, and commitment to ‘Highest Expectations for All’.
This is a pivotal role, reporting to the Regional Executive Headteacher, where you will hold responsibility for Personal Development and Behaviour and Attitudes within the school.
Key Responsibilities Include:
Strategic Leadership: Clearly articulate and ensure the school's vision is acted upon effectively by all staff, meet all statutory requirements, and drive high standards for ‘Behaviour and Attitudes’ and ‘Personal Development’.
Leading Provision: Monitor and evaluate school performance, using tracking data to challenge staff and engage pupils & guardians, and refine an ethos for managing behaviour that promotes pupils who are independent and self-regulating.
Leading People: Act as a role model, setting the tone for the school; providing leadership and direction for all colleagues; and eliciting high performance through rigorous, supportive appraisal processes. You will embed an ethos of high expectation and aspiration.
Safeguarding & Community: Act as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) within the school, actively promoting welfare and adopting exceptional safeguarding practice. You will also demonstrate a sustained determination to ensure and encourage good relations with families, carers, and the wider community.
Organisation & Accountability: Manage finances and resources to ensure the best possible provision. Produce regular and timely reports on school performance for the Director of Education and Governors, ensuring high-quality communication with all stakeholders.
Teaching Commitment: This post is envisaged to be 50% teaching and 50% non-contact.
