A vibrant school based in Brighton, is seeking a dynamic and passionate Head of Schoolto lead their team. This pivotal role focuses on supporting youngsterswith learning disabilities with their education and into meaningful, paid employment.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Lead, manage, and develop a dedicated educational team of 6+ direct reports.
  • Drive quality assurance and curriculum development to achieve outstanding learner outcomes.
  • Ensure the effective delivery of Functional Skills in line with the latest Conditions of Funding and government frameworks.
  • Champion innovative approaches to teaching, learning, and digital development.
  • Engage in some class-based teaching to stay connected with both staff and students.
  • Work closely with the Co-CEO to deliver strategic aims through operational excellence.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven track record of excellence in an Education or Specialist Education setting.
  • Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and Autism.
  • Strong knowledge of Functional Skills delivery and conditions of Funding.
  • Operational and management experience with a hands-on approach.
  • Qualified teacher status is essential.
  • Desirable: Leadership experience in an Educationalsetting, Ofsted or shadow nominee experience, and ILR data management and ESFA audit experience for high needs funding.
