Please note, for candidates that are invited for Short Leet there will be a virtual assessment centre consisting of three written tasks.

Post Requirements

• The Standard for Headship is an essential requirement for this post.
• If the successful candidate does not meet this requirement, the post may be offered on a temporary basis for a maximum of 30 months, subject to the panel’s satisfaction that the qualification will be achieved within this period.
• A permanent contract will be offered only once the qualification is successfully completed. If it becomes clear that the qualification cannot be achieved within 30 months, the contract will end with appropriate notice and the temporary Head Teacher will revert to a DHT1 post across the city.
• Salary will be in accordance with the Scheme of Salaries and Conditions of Service for Teaching Staff in School Education.
• This post is regulated work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. If an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more outside the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. An unconditional offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to satisfactory pre‑employment checks.
