Head Receptionist – Hull Vets for Pets

If this is you, we have a great opportunity for you at our Hull Vets for Pets Practice. We are a thriving practice with an excellent reputation in the community and are looking for an individual to join us as Head Receptionist. We encourage all our staff to deliver outstanding care to both the client and their pets and perform their job to the fullest.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the reception team, ensure daily tasks are completed in a timely manner, manage your own admin duties and maintain a high level of customer service.
  • Conduct 1-to-1s, manage staff rotas and holidays, oversee debt management and weekly banking, support payroll processes, organise team gifts and events, and handle client complaints professionally.
  • Build strong relationships with clients, their pets and the practice team, providing an exceptional service throughout each visit.
  • Greet each client and offer support, guidance, and expertise while managing payments and future bookings confidently.
  • Coordinate the smooth running of day‑to‑day routines using our online booking system – computer literacy is a must.
Qualifications

Prior experience managing a team is required; veterinary practice experience is an advantage.

Working Hours

This is a full time role working 40 hours per week, including 1 in 4 Saturdays.
