Responsibilities
  • Oversee all pastry and dessert operations whilst ensuring excellence in production, presentation and food safety within the pastry kitchen.
  • Deliver exceptional pastry creations for our Podium restaurant, afternoon teas, banqueting, and events (up to 600 covers) whilst consistently exceeding guest expectations.
  • Inspire and leads the pastry team and fostering a culture of creativity, collaboration and skill development in a positive and supportive environment.
Qualifications

We are searching for a true service superstar, someone who thrives in providing our Guests with an excellent service throughout their stay. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has….

  • To have been a Senior Pastry Sous Chef or Pastry Head Chef for 1–2 years within a hotel or establishment of comparable size and style.
  • To be highly skilled in classical and contemporary pastry techniques with experience across plated desserts, afternoon tea, chocolate work and large-scale event production.
  • Has knowledge of brand standards relating to pastry and desserts, with the ability to design and deliver innovative, seasonal menus using quality ingredients and trusted suppliers.
  • Is engaged with industry trends and networks and stays up to date with developments in pastry, baking and presentation styles.
  • Has the technical expertise to work across all pastry sections, maintaining consistency and excellence in a high-volume environment.
  • As a minimum, must have completed Level 3 Food Safety certification and demonstrate sound knowledge of HACCP and allergen management.
