Role Overview

You will lead a Year Group alongside a full‑time Assistant Head of Year, providing pastoral support and helping to shape academic and personal development.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Year Group, ensuring excellent pastoral support.
  • Collaborate with the headteacher and senior leadership to design initiatives that motivate and develop students.
  • Allocate timetable, support structures and line management to enable Head of Year creativity.
  • Maintain high expectations for students and staff.
Qualifications and Experience
  • Excellent and ambitious classroom teacher with a proven and demonstrable track record of success at GCSE and A Level.
  • Extensive pastoral leadership experience.
  • Strong understanding of current educational developments, data, timetabling, curriculum, examinations and assessment.
  • Energy, stamina and a sense of humour.
