Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, theHead of Warehousingis responsible for the strategic leadership and operational management of all warehouse activities to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective storage, handling, and movement of materials and finished products. This role is critical in supporting uninterrupted manufacturing operations, optimising inventory control, and ensuring accurate, on-time delivery to customers.

Key Responsibilities Include
- Contribute to wider supply chain planning, including inventory optimisation, warehouse capacity, and automation initiatives.
- Oversee the warehouse management team in leading the day-to-day warehousing operations including goods‑in, put‑away, storage, picking, dispatch, and returns.
- Ensure optimal layout, workflow, and material handling systems to maximise efficiency and space utilisation.
- Maintain accurate inventory levels and high standards of stock accuracy.
- Ensure internal departments work collaboratively following procedures that support an efficient and high‑quality service, routinely reviewing and adapting processes to suit the needs of the business.
- Develop and implement warehousing strategies that support production needs, customer expectations, and business growth.
- Identify and implement warehouse process improvements, automation, and digital solutions (e.g., WMS upgrades, barcode scanning, equipment).
- Drive Lean and continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, costs, and inefficiencies.
- Work across all CHH sites to ensure consistency in standard operating procedures and performance outcomes.
- Work closely with production, procurement, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure smooth material flow and order fulfilment.
- Manage relationships with third‑party contract partners where applicable.
- Own and monitor warehouse KPIs (inventory accuracy, stock turns, order fulfilment, pick accuracy, productivity etc.)
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, quality standards, and relevant industry regulations.
- Produce and/or analyse business performance reports to make evidence‑based decisions about resourcing, budget planning and capacity.
- Manage and develop warehouse teams, ensuring skills, performance, and engagement are aligned with business needs.
Our Ideal Candidate Will Be
- Experienced at a senior level in warehousing, inventory management, or logistics within a manufacturing, engineering, or FMCG environment
- Experienced in managing multi‑site a business with ambition to grow, able to prove a strong track record in implementing warehouse systems (WMS, ERP) and driving digital/automation improvements.
- Willing to travel to CHH and customer sites, including overnight stays when required.

- Able to show continued professional development in logistics, operational management or leadership.
- Knowledgeable in health and safety practices and requirements.
- Knowledgeable in using warehouse management systems.

Desirable Skills
- Health and Safety qualification
- Degree in supply chain management, warehouse management, logistics, engineering or business related discipline
- Background in continuous improvement and implementing best practices in logistics and supply chain
