Head of Transport

As Head of Transport, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operational management and financial oversight to ensure efficient and cost‑effecting transportation services.

An average day as a Transport Manager

• Report to the Head of Operations
• Complete staff training and all staff records
• Responsible for first line driver management
• Allocate work to drivers
• Conduct gate checks and licence checks
• Carry out internal monthly audits
• Oversee vehicle maintenance PMI, repairs etc
• Monitoring drivers hours and records, analyse of monthly reports downloaded from Tachomaster
• Complete walk round checks
• Complete internal invoicing
• Produce monthly reports on OCRS score and monthly KPI’s
• Responsible for additional Transport Managers within the group

About you

• At least 5 years’ experience working as a Transport Manager
• Hold a CPC licence
• HGV licence (preferable)
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Flexible and 'can do' attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills, representing the company brand image at all times.
