About The Role

We are excited to be recruiting for a Head of Transport. This is an unrivalled opportunity to join one of the UK's fastest growing motor groups at our Newark Motor Auctions site. As Head of Transport, you will be responsible for overseeing daily operational management, and financial oversight to ensure efficient and cost effecting transportation services. Working a 4 on 4 off shift pattern.

An average day as a Transport Manager

• Report to the Head of Operations
• Complete staff training and all staff records
• Responsible for first line driver management
• Allocate work to drivers
• Conduct gate checks and licence checks
• Carry out internal monthly audits
• Oversee vehicle maintenance PMI, repairs etc
• Monitoring drivers hours and records, analyse of monthly reports downloaded from Tachomaster
• Complete walk round checks
• Complete internal invoicing
• Produce monthly reports on OCRS score and monthly KPI's
• Responsible for additional Transport Managers within the group
• Site visits within the group ensuring compliance for all of the operating centres

About You

• At least 5 years' experience working as a Transport Manager
• Hold a CPC licence
• HGV licence (preferable)
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Flexible and 'can do' attitude.
• Good interpersonal skills, representing the company brand image at all times.
