WHAT'S THE MISSION FOR THIS ROLE?

Lead the Direct to Consumer Trading Teams to continue to deliver sales and profit growth—driving revenue, margin growth, and category share. Own the 'what' that lands with our customers through compelling assortments, impactful experiences and planned and tactical trading. The role also works alongside the merchandise planning team influencing on stock and availability and the Product and UX team on key features and functions in a digital landscape.

WHAT DOES THIS ROLE DO?

As our Head of Trading you will be responsible for:

  • Top-Line & P&L: Full accountability for sales, revenue, margin, and category performance. Own the end-to-end P&L for all brands categories.
  • Assortment & Pricing: Working alongside central brand teams support the definition and optimisation of product ranges, pricing, and promotional strategies in line with market dynamics and customer needs.
  • Campaign Execution: Drive key trading moments (e.g., Black Friday, Christmas) in partnership with Marketing, ensuring channel‑agnostic benefits and tangible ROI.
  • Onsite Merchandising: Define and uphold best practice for product visibility, hierarchy, and prioritisation across all customer touchpoints.
  • Customer Activation: Partner with CRM and Performance Marketing to convert shoppers into buyers and drive repeat purchases, always with a trade‑led lens.
  • Customer Growth: Alongside marketing champion both new customer acquisition and retention by using competitor and market insights to guide winning strategies.
  • Cross‑Functional Synergies: Unlock synergies across marketplaces and digital operations where there are opportunities for efficiency and best practice.
  • KPIs: Revenue, margin, sell‑through, promotional effectiveness, category contribution and profit.
