Where Does This Role Fit In

You’ll be part of our Technology Leadership Team, working closely with the Director of Technology and collaborating with the Strategic Change and Data & Insights teams.

Your work will connect across the whole organisation – shaping digital experiences, guiding project delivery and helping teams embed user‑centred and agile ways of working.

You’ll lead the Technology Delivery Team and Technology Delivery Partners / Product Managers. Together you’ll ensure every piece of technology we deliver meets user needs, adds value and supports our strategic goals.

What skills and experience do you need

You’ll be an experienced and inclusive technology leader with a strong track record of delivering digital solutions that improve how people work and live. You’ll bring a solid understanding of user‑centred design, agile delivery and enterprise architecture, alongside proven experience in leading teams and managing change.

Strong communication, problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills are key, as is the confidence to collaborate across teams and manage complex projects effectively. You’ll hold a degree in a relevant field and be committed to ongoing professional development. Most importantly you’ll be passionate about creating technology that is accessible, inclusive and genuinely improves people’s experiences.

Pay and Benefits
Time off and Flexibility
  • 26 days holiday plus Bank holidays, rising to 31 days with an extra day for each full year of service.
  • Predominantly Monday to Friday with the option to request a compressed 9‑day fortnight.
  • Maternity & Adoption Leave: 20 weeks.
  • Paternity Leave: 3 weeks.
  • Hybrid Working: Your base will be the nearest head office – Newport, Cardiff or Swansea. Regular team meetups in Newport are part of the role.

  • This is a permanent role for 37 hours per week. Salary is set at £75,516.
  • Pension choices: Defined Contribution scheme with matched contributions up to 10%, or Defined Benefit 1/80 of final salary for every year of service.
