Job summary

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food business in Sunderland to recruit a Head of Supply Chain. This permanent role requires hands-on leadership to drive end-to-end SCM across procurement, planning and delivery.

You will own demand and supply planning, optimise service levels, and monitor KPIs like OTIF and costs in a fast-moving FMCG environment. Salary up to £90k plus package.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in an end-to-end supply chain management role.
• Significant experience within food manufacturing - essential.
• Experience managing supply chains serving major UK retailers.
• Chilled food experience.
• Strong understanding of procurement, demand planning, production planning, stock management and logistics.
• Experience managing raw material suppliers and third-party logistics providers.
• A strong understanding of OTIF, service levels, waste, stock and supply chain costs.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions quickly.
• Strong analytical and commercial skills.
• A hands-on approach - prepared to get into the detail and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the complete supply chain from raw material procurement through to customer delivery.
• Continuously improve service levels, efficiency, stock availability and supply chain performance.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Own supply and demand planning, ensuring production is aligned with customer requirements.
• Manage stock levels and minimise shortages and waste.
• Manage movement of finished products from factory to customers and distribution centres/stores.
• Manage retailer forecasts, orders, delivery requirements and changes in demand.
• Establish and monitor key supply chain KPIs, including OTIF, stock availability, waste, forecast accuracy, supplier performance and logistics costs.

Do you have a proven track record of leading end to end supply chains including procurement and all planning areas?

Are you operationally focussed with the ability to drive efficiencies and support an FMCG business through transformation and growth?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a leading food business on the search for a Head of Supply Chain. This is a PERM role based in Sunderland.

Key Responsibilities:

• Take ownership of the complete supply chain from raw material procurement through to customer delivery.
• Continuously improve service levels, efficiency, stock availability and supply chain performance.
• Build strong supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.

• Manage the movement of finished products from the factory through to customers and retail distribution centres/stores.
