Position overview

We are seeking an entrepreneurial Solution Architect to join our dynamic Digital Studio team. The successful candidate will have substantial experience in designing and implementing tailored solutions for our public sector clients. This role requires a hands‑on approach and a deep understanding of both the technical and strategic aspects of solution architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Lead architecture design for client solutions from initial engagement through to delivery, ensuring alignment with client requirements and company capabilities.
• Participate in RFIs, bids and contribute architecturally to the proposal development process.
• Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and development teams to deliver integrated, robust, and scalable solutions.
• Advocate and employ appropriate technologies and platforms such as AWS or Azure to optimise performance and scalability.
• Maintain strong client relationships, understanding their needs and aligning them with feasible and innovative technological solutions.
• Keep abreast of emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices to continuously improve solution offerings and guide the technical strategy of the company.
• Provide technical direction and advice alongside lead software engineers to inform overall technical strategy and deliver customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a Solution Architect or in a related role within the IT services industry.
• Proficient in both AWS and Azure cloud platform services and solutions.
• Experience working with, or for, public sector clients is preferred.
• Strong command of English with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to document and define proposed solution architectures and create solution feature maps.
• Relevant technical experience and certifications, particularly in AWS and Azure, are desirable.
• Proven ability to analyze complex issues and design effective solutions.
• Collaborative team player with excellent interpersonal skills.
• Eligible for UK Security Clearance.
• Right to work and travel within the UK and ability to provide documentary evidence.
