About the Role:

Head of Software, Enterprise Solutions

This role leads a strategically important segment of S&P Global Market Intelligence’s Enterprise Solutions Software business, spanning Corporate Actions, Tax Solutions, and Cappitech. The portfolio combines managed data services and enterprise technology platforms that help capital markets firms reduce risk, improve compliance, and streamline complex post-trade, asset servicing, tax, and regulatory reporting workflows.

The Team

The Software business operates in a global, highly collaborative environment, partnering across Product, Sales, Customer Experience, Operations, and Technology to shape growth strategy, go-to-market execution, and revenue expansion across the portfolio. Our primary locations are in the US(NY), UK (London), and India (Gurgaon) with global sales coverage.

The Impact

The Head of Software will define and execute the commercial and product strategy for the full product suite, including growth, market positioning, pricing, client engagement, and strategic investment priorities. The role acts as an enterprise leader for the portfolio, connecting market needs, client value, product direction/investment, and commercial outcomes.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise across asset servicing, post-trade ecosystems, tax processing, and regulatory reporting, with the ability to identify market opportunities, influence product roadmap, and build trusted relationships with clients, partners, regulators, and internal stakeholders.

A key focus will be leveraging AI to strengthen trusted decision‑making, governance, workflow integration, and operational resilience across the investment lifecycle.

What’s in it for you
  • Lead and scale a high‑growth, strategically important software portfolio across Corporate Actions, Tax, and Cappitech.
  • Shape commercial strategy, market positioning, and product direction as the enterprise leader for the suite.
  • Drive innovation at the intersection of post‑trade technology, regulatory complexity, and AI‑enabled workflow transformation.
  • Partner with a global, cross‑functional leadership team to deliver growth, client value, and market impact.
Responsibilities

This role is accountable for end‑to‑end commercial leadership of the Corporate Actions, Tax, and Cappitech product suite, including:

  • Own revenue growth, P&L performance, pipeline development, pricing, commercial models, and go‑to‑market strategy.
  • Understand competitive differentiators to best present our products to the market. Present product strategy and the potential options for inorganic growth opportunities.
  • Lead global pre‑sales, including RFPs, solution design, proposal development, executive client engagement, and deal strategy.
  • Build trusted relationships with buy‑side, sell‑side, custodians, asset servicers, regulators, industry groups, and strategic partners.
  • Partner with Product, Revenue, Customer Experience, Operations, and Technology to align strategy, roadmap, execution, and investment priorities.
  • Act as senior escalation point for key clients and represent the business in executive governance forums.
  • Drive thought leadership and market advocacy through client engagement, industry forums, conferences, press, and social channels.
  • Identify and scale growth opportunities across new markets, client segments, product adjacencies, AI‑enabled innovation, and partnerships.
  • Translate market intelligence and client insight into product roadmap, commercial priorities, and investment recommendations.
  • Build, develop, and lead a global team of subject matter experts who collaborate effectively across product management, revenue, and technology.
What We’re Looking For
  • Extensive commercial strategy, sales, or business development experience within capital markets, with a proven track record of revenue growth and P&L ownership.
  • Deep domain expertise across Corporate Actions, asset servicing, tax processing, regulatory reporting, post‑trade, clearing, and settlement ecosystems.
  • Strong understanding of market dynamics, client needs, competitive landscape, and AI’s role in improving coordination, governance, and value creation.
  • Executive‑level stakeholder management, with the ability to influence senior decision‑makers and engage credibly with clients, regulators, and industry bodies.
  • Global leadership experience, with the ability to build high‑performing teams and foster collaboration, inclusion, trust, and productivity.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to simplify complexity and articulate a compelling market narrative.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed organization with senior executive presence.
