Job description

Head of Service Delivery – (Infrastructure, Management, 3rd Party Suppliers, Vendors, Hands on, Team Management, RFP’s, Service Delivery) – Permanent – Fully Remote

Charles Simon Associates are currently looking for a Head of Service Delivery on a permanent basis for an existing client. This role is a fully remote position with a well established business and a leader in their field.

Salary :

Up to £80,000 Per Annum D.O.E

Skills / Requirements for the Head of Service Delivery :
  • Proven experience in service delivery leadership within IT or technology environments.
  • Strong vendor and 3rd-party management skills, including performance oversight and contract negotiation.
  • Experience managing small teams (3–4 senior delivery managers) and driving accountability.
  • Ability to create and manage RFPs for new projects and BAU services.
  • Hands‑on technical expertise in infrastructure (e.g., servers, networking, cloud environments).
  • Ability to work across multiple infrastructure domains and support troubleshooting when required.
  • Strategic mindset : capable of influencing future IT service roadmaps and improving delivery efficiency.

Start date is ASAP for the Head of Service Delivery

The Head of Service Delivery will be responsible for :
  • Leading and develop a team of senior delivery managers responsible for outsourced services and projects.
  • Owning the service delivery framework, ensuring SLAs and KPIs are met across all vendors.
  • Managing vendor selection and onboarding processes, including RFP creation and evaluation.
  • Collaborating with the CIO on the 3–5 year IT infrastructure roadmap, identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Act as an escalation point for critical service issues and provide hands‑on technical support when necessary.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service quality and infrastructure efficiency.
